Speech Telepractice
Welcome to Speech Telepractice!
Providence Speech and Hearing Center offers speech evaluations and weekly speech therapy sessions via video conference to ensure you are able to conveniently access therapy. Our Speech Telepractice may be an option for Adult and Pediatric patients after clinical review to determine appropriateness based on individual diagnosis.
We offer Speech Telepractice to all patients whether new or existing. Contact our Scheduling Department at (714) 639-4990 for more information. Speech Telepractice is appointment only.
What is Speech Telepractice?
Speech therapy consisting of video visits with patient sitting in a private room in their home, signing into a HIPAA compliant video software, and meeting with a California licensed speech therapist.
Your first encounter with Speech Telepractice?
A successful start with Speech Telepractice therapy begins by providing information to your clinician. Please complete the forms below prior to your first appointment.
Your clinician will guide you on how to transfer completed forms within your first telepractice session.
Ready for your speech evaluation?
An Early Intervention evaluation can help detect a speech and language delay for pediatric patients under 5 years of age.
Evaluations may take upwards of 1 hour to complete, and some patients may have difficulty focusing.
To prepare for the evaluation, your clinician recommends having a variety of toys prepared.

Ready for your therapy appointment?
Based on medical record review or evaluation recommendations you or your child may be appropriate to start therapy sessions with a clinician.
Once you are scheduled for therapy sessions:
Locate a dedicated quiet space with good lighting and a computer, tablet, or phone with good internet connection.
Please have items requested by your clinician for use during the session ready prior to your appointment start.

Speech Telepractice Clinicians
All Speech Clinicians within Speech Telepractice at Providence Speech and Hearing Center are licensed providers in California and received specialized training in delivering remote care. If you have misplaced the link to your clinician's telepractice call, please call (714) 639-4990
Parent/Caregiver Responsibilities
Locate a dedicated quiet space with good lighting and a computer, tablet, or phone with good internet connection.
Set a reminder on your phone for appointment start.
Prepare your child at least 10 minutes prior to the session (use the restroom, finish a snack). If you must cancel or reschedule, please see attendance policy.
Please have items or homework requested by your clinician for use during the session ready prior to your appointment start.
Stay close to your child - for parent coaching and assistance.
Don’t expect your child to be seated during the whole
session. Please assist with redirecting them back to the task.Have a reward at the end of the session (i.e., snack, sticker).
