Hoag is a not-for-profit regional healthcare delivery network in Orange County, Calif. that treats nearly 30,000 inpatients and 350,000 outpatients annually. Hoag consists of 2 acute-care hospitals, 7 health centers, and a network for more than 1,300 physicians, 5,000 employees and 2,000 volunteers. Hoag Hospital Newport Beach, which has served Orange County since 1952, and Hoag Hospital Irvine, which opened in 2010, are designated Magnet hospitals by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Hoag offers a comprehensive mix of health care services including Centers of Excellence in cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences and women’s health, and orthopedics through Hoag’s affiliate, Hoag Orthopedic Institute. National Research Corporation has endorsed Hoag as Orange County’s most preferred hospital for the past 15 consecutive years. In 2011, PSHC's Audiology Department, in partnership with St. Joseph Hospital, formed the OC Fall Prevention and Balance Center. The center serves the needs of patients with balance issues through accurate diagnosis and appropriate therapy.
PSHC collaborates with several divisions within CHOC. Twice-weekly infant-sedated ABR clinics are held in the short-stay units at CHOC; both PSHC Audiology and Speech Therapy staff work with the CHOC Craniofacial Clinic staff to provide comprehensive services to children with multiple issues; and PSHC works with CHOC's Oncology division to support children with cancer on a consulting basis.
PSHC supports Sertoma-organized local health fairs at the Brea Community Center to serve and educate residents on hearing loss issues.
PSHC has a reciprocal referral relationship with Help Me Grow to identify and maximize resources for families.
PSHC has a reciprocal referral relationship with For OC Kids to support families in Orange County.
